As part of its commitment to the community at large, Audiovox is dedicated to improving the well-being and safety of its employees. To that end we have
several programs that focus on the mind, body and spirit of
our employee base. In addition, we believe our company is
environmentally friendly with a structured Environmental
Management System. We are ISO 14001 certified and do
everything possible to prevent pollution and recycle
materials whenever feasible.. We have provided
programs that focus specifically on the health and safety
of our employees. Our Safety Committee takes about twenty
employees from departments scattered throughout the company
and conducts monthly self-inspection walkthroughs of all
areas of the building (to check for safety, environmental
and housekeeping issues). They meet monthly to review all
any incidents (accidents/injuries) and their investigation
reports, as well as review employee suggestions that have
been submitted. Employee suggestions that get implemented
are given a nominal monetary award and are entitled to
participate in an annual drawing for the "Suggestion of the
Year". Our Wellness philosophy is to encourage our
employees to improve their health through wellness
programs. The Company sponsors Healthy Lunch programs,
Lunch and Learn Days (where you can eat a healthy lunch and
learn something about nutrition). In addition, the company
provides for a nominal fee, Flu Shots right on premises,
and a variety of Health Tests and Screenings. The Company
also sponsors 'Stop Smoking Sessions', 'Stress in the
Workplace' sessions, Weight Watcher's meetings. This past
year the company promoted fitness through a summer
volleyball tournament and recently hired a fitness company
to come on-site and work with employee groups at all
fitness levels.. Throughout the year the employees
are involved in many fund-raisers, blood drives, walk-a-thons etc. to show that Audiovox and it's employees are
committed and involved in the community around us.
